Masking Does Not Prevent Transmission
The scientific evidence is clear. The wearing of a mask does not prevent transmission or infection. Denis Rancourt, PhD, in his extensive review of the scientific literature pertaining to the effectiveness of masking, states: “extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, . . . all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses” [1]
Rancourt explains: “No RCT study with verified outcome shows a benefit . . . to wearing a mask. There is no such study. There are no exceptions. No study exists that shows a benefit from a broad policy to wear masks in public.”
Using a mask to prevent exposure to a virus such as SARS-CoV-2 is akin to erecting a chain-link fence to keep out mice.
It is critical that our response to SARS-CoV-2 be measured, reasonable, and supported by demonstrable evidence. There is no relevant evidence to support the use of masking to prevent transmission or infection.
Rancourt lists the unknowns regarding potential harm from a broad public policy to masking:

“In an absence of knowledge, governments should not make policies that have a hypothetical potential to cause harm. The government has an onus barrier before it instigates a broad social-engineering intervention or allows corporations to exploit fear-based sentiments. Furthermore, individuals should know that there is no known benefit arising from wearing a mask in a viral respiratory illness epidemic, and that scientific studies have shown that any benefit must be residually small, compared to other and determinative factors.”

I am requesting that you consider the attached information regarding the use of masking as a public health measure.
The attached referenced document clearly explains that there is no scientific evidence that the use of a mask reduces viral infection or transmission, and in fact carries risks that have been shown to be detrimental to health.
It is critical that our response to SARS-CoV-2 be measured, reasonable, and supported by demonstrable evidence. Given the lack of scientific evidence, the default position ought to be free will. Those who choose to mask can do so. Those who recognize that masking is ineffective, and potentially detrimental, should also be supported in their choice.
I am asking you to respect my rights and freedoms as guaranteed by the Canadian Constitution – and protect the rights and freedoms of your customers and your community.
Should your business insist that customers wear a mask while shopping, I will refrain from patronage of your services until such time as my choice is respected.

I am writing as a result of my concern with government overreach in the response to SARS-CoV-2. The mass and indiscriminate containment of citizens and the restricting of access to our economy, courts, parliament and livelihoods are extraordinary measures that have never before been considered, much less implemented. The impact of these measures on our physical, emotional, psychological and economic well-being is considerable and clearly not sustainable.
If the goal is to keep our families and communities healthy, not just in the short-term but also in the long-term, I require further information to enable me, in all good conscience, to continue to support these extraordinary measures being imposed by government.

It is my understanding that Costco Canada is considering implementing a policy whereby all shoppers will be required to wear a mask, as is occurring in USA Costco stores effective May 4th. I am writing to express my strong objection to this policy for several reasons:

The Cabinet Committee on the federal response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) will complement the work being done by the Incident Response Group. It will meet regularly to ensure whole-of-government leadership, coordination, and preparedness for a response to the health and economic impacts of the virus. This includes coordination of efforts with other orders of government.
The Committee will continue the measures already taken by the Government of Canada to limit the spread of the virus, and to make sure we are protecting the health and safety of all Canadians. A Statement from Gravely Concerned Citizens of Canada
Prime Minister Trudeau,[1] public health officials, and the mainstream media have expressed the opinion that “life will not return to normal until a vaccine for CV 19 is developed.”
The citizens of Canada are entitled to the full protection guaranteed under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Universal Declaration of Bioethics and Human Rights, the Nuremberg Code, and the medical and legal ethic of informed consent.
A health care strategy for COVID 19 that is based solely on indefinite containment and mass vaccination is reckless and dangerous, and a violation of our rights and freedoms under the Charter.
We demand that our government representatives carefully consider the following points and use extreme caution, wisdom and humility in making decisions that will impact the lives of every Canadian now and for the foreseeable future.
I. Impact of Indefinite Isolation
The fact is not all citizens are at equal risk of serious adverse effects from contracting CV 19. The current virus suppression strategy of mass and indiscriminate ‘social distancing’ is unsustainable, heavy handed, unethical, not supported by scientific evidence, and will undoubtedly cause more harm than good. It is time to re-evaluate the government’s response to COVID 19.
This devastating attack on the free will and self-respect of Canadian families is causing unconscionable hardships as never seen before. These hardships include, but are not limited to: job loss, income loss, severe stress impacting health, business closures, overall economic devastation, suicides, and negative consequences for families and marriages.
It is astonishing and completely unacceptable that these measures are being imposed upon the Canadian people by a small group of elected and unelected officials who are making poorly informed and dangerous decisions without adequate data, proper debate and public input.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms requires that the response of governments to this challenge must remain rational and commensurate with demonstrable evidence, and the checks and balances of the rule of law. The severe curtailment of civil liberties without projected timelines for their rescission, the shutdown of economic activity and resulting job losses, the increase of human suffering through confinement and restriction of liberty, and the closure of courts of justice denying citizens a ready recourse, are all factors which bear close scrutiny, and must be weighed in the balance of a Constitution which zealously guards the rights and freedoms of citizens.
Governments may enact laws and pursue policies that limit Charter rights and freedoms, but the onus is on the government to prove that the limit is demonstrably justifiable in a free and democratic society.

Time For Some Facts, Science & Perspective: How we got into this – And how we’ll get out of it.
3500 Canadians die from the flu each year.
As at April 8th, 2020, 430 Canadians have died from Covid-19. This is about 1/8th of the annual flu death total.
In mid March, UK epidemiologist Neil Ferguson from the Imperial College of London issued a “model” that predicted that as many as 500,000 in the UK would die from Covid-19. On March 24th he revised this to read 20,000, and “likely far fewer.” On April 2nd he revised it again to read 5,700. Problem was that many world leaders used his original number to shut down most of the planet.
German epidemiologist Knut Wittkowski has 35 years experience and impeccable credentials. He is one of many infectious disease specialists who was completely ignored when governments around the world followed the advice of the corrupt Big Pharma controlled WHO. He said we must protect and quarantine the frail, sick and very elderly 10% of our population, while allowing the other 90% to acquire the virus with mild to no symptoms, thereby gaining true NATURAL herd immunity. He estimated this to be a 4 week process.
Speaking of who, who anointed Bill Gates, who has no medical or scientific training or credentials, and who holds no elected office, to attempt to determine the fate of mankind?

the most applicable statement to treatment I have found is this:
“There are no specific treatments for COVID-19, and there is no vaccine that protects against coronaviruses. Most people with COVID-19 illnesses will recover on their own.”

Dear Mr. Trudeau, Mr. Clark, Mr. Barrett, Mr. Ford, and all esteemed Members,
My fellow Canadians, I am compelled to write to all of you in regards to the emergency response to CoVID-19 that our country is currently embroiled in. I have dedicated the past four weeks to researching and following the developments of the pandemic here and around the world, though I do not claim to be any kind of expert; I am merely speaking to you as a concerned citizen.
If my government would have asked me four weeks ago how I thought they should respond to reports of a novel corona virus, my answer would have been: educate the public, follow reliable data, offer resources to protect the vulnerable, support healthcare efforts, remain calm. If my government were to ask me today how I rate their response to a corona virus that was likely here months before we thought to do anything about it, my answer would have to be: somewhere in the range of very disappointed to outraged.
My government has relied upon compromised organizations like the CDC and WHO, heavily influenced by ubiquitous special-interest groups like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and flimsy projection models, like those produced out of Imperial College London, to inform them about this virus. My government has reacted by imposing severely oppressive directives based on weak evidence which, to date, do not seem to be producing any better results than those places that opted for less extreme measures. Instead of maintaining a countenance of exemplary leadership and trusting the citizens to follow the protocols that best suited their individual circumstances, my government buckled under international peer-pressure and media-fueled hysteria by turning suggestions into threats and assistance into enforcement. Not only have I lost confidence in my government to address this pandemic appropriately, I now fear for the rights and well-being of millions of Canadians.
I believe we have set a dangerous precedent with this virus. To instruct people that the only way to avoid serious illness is to isolate themselves in their homes indefinitely is not only harmful and false, it is blatantly and absurdly unsustainable. As this pandemic rolls on and authorities scramble to make the numbers match the predictions, are we to believe that our only line of defense against a virulent pathogen is to hide? Should we expect that every time there is a particularly nasty flu going around we will be told to bunker down until it’s deemed “safe” to live our lives again?
There is still hope for quelling the damage that SARS-CoV-2 and our response to it has done to our country. Children should return to school. Businesses should re-open. Doctors and nurses should be allowed to treat infected patients effectively, instead of having to follow protocols that are likely contributing to mortality. People should have the right to choose how they conduct themselves during this and any outbreak without persecution or the implication that any individual’s actions are directly responsible for the experiences of others. The government should provide guidance on the importance of healthful outdoor activities, quality nutrition, rest, and immune support for the prevention of transmissible illness, instead of relying solely on the advent of a vaccine. Empowerment, not fear, is how we will overcome this together.
My husband is a veteran. We have four children. We love Canada; it is our hope that all who call this country home be able to thrive. And we beseech you to please reconsider the direction you are driving this country in the name of protection. We can not guarantee safety from a virus by doing what we’re doing, but we can guarantee that physical and mental health will suffer, jobs will be lost, businesses will permanently close, families will struggle, relationships will break down, trust will be broken, and people will most certainly die. The longer these lockdowns are continued, the greater the collateral damage will be.
I still have faith that my government, backed with current data, the testimonies of doctors, researchers, and epidemiologists, and the encouragement of the constituents that it is meant to serve, will make different choices in the coming weeks. Maybe we need to invest more wisely in healthcare and emergency preparedness. Maybe we need to more effectively address factors like poverty and pollution which make us more vulnerable to infectious diseases. Maybe we need to take better care of our elderly. Maybe we need to better defend our environmental and economic interests against lobbyists, corporations, and those who would stand to profit greatly from our calamity.
We definitely need to end these pseudo-lockdowns now and cease all reliance on such measures being used as a solution in the future.

Dear MPP Sarkaria,
I understand you are affected as the rest of us by the measures that are in place restricting our movement and freedom of assembly. That is why I am writing to you.
I do not remember anymore for how long I have been staying home and not going to stores, visiting my family in Collingwood or even talking to my neighbours in the street. It is being like 3 lives.
Every day, I watch the daily briefings of Government Officials and besides words of encouragement and admonitions, I do not hear any real information that could lead to a solution to this lockdown.
For instance, the Provincial and Federal Government are basing their decisions on mathematical models, that are secret, which data/assumptions have not been put out there for independent scientists to analyse and peer review it.
We do not know who prepared the models, if there were indeed mathematicians involved in its preparations. Based on what we saw happen with the model that predicted 500.000 deaths in the UK and was “corrected” to be 5.700 deaths, after just one day of lockdown, we have to assume that only transparency would keep the public spirits lighten up and governments served with the best of the information they can make use during a pandemic.
But, no, no codes were made public. Analysing past flu data and comparing them with the COVID-19 data, we find the following:
Influenza & Pneumonia deaths in Canada in 2018: 23/100,000 population or 230/1M population (NO LOCKDOWS)
Covid-19 deaths in Canada in 2020 (Jan-April 6): 0.9/100,000 population or 9/1M population (ALL COUNTRY IN LOCKDOWN)
Where is the rationality of it all? Why do we need to destroy our economy for a bad flu? Why we do not simply protect those who are fragile and the elderly and let the healthy people go to work and care for them?
How many people will die of despair, of heart attack, alcohol abuse, poverty, domestic violence because of the lockdown? Is it worth to have all these deaths compared to the possible COVID-19 deaths?
A study done some 10/20 years ago, found that for each 1% the unemployment rate increases, there is an increase of 2.8% for deaths of despair. Last time I heard, more than 1 million Canadians had applied for EI.
You might say that there are not many deaths because of the lockdown, but that is not true because there is a compelling effort by International Authorities, such as The WHO, to label any deaths as deaths by COVID-19. In a document instructing all countries on how to code for deaths by COVID-19, the WHO instructs that no tests are need and deaths can be assumed to be caused by COVID-19.
It is clear that the WHO is desperately trying to make COVID-19 into a deadly disease. Hospitals are empty, ICUs are empty and brave nurses have been telling all they are getting days off work for lack of patients.
Additionally, there is the case of Sweden which is doing an stellar work with the epidemic, without lockdowns.
Tomorrow, there will be an extraordinary session in Parliament to vote an extension for 28 days for the Emergency Measures. I would urge you to ponder all things I mentioned to you, consider how many people we are actually saving and how many people are actually dying of isolation and its unhealthy consequences. Please do not vote to proceed with the Emergency Measures. Also, please address the point of lack of transparency and unjustified secrecy surrounding the data and the models.
Today, my Councillor told me I live in the best country in the world and that I am treated like a family by my politicians.I wonder why I do not feel like that anymore.

I’m writing to you as a concerned constituent of your Toronto-Danforth riding and as an NDP supporter and monthly contributor about the proposal to continue this state of lockdown for another 28 days.
I’m concerned about all Ontarians and particularly people at risk for the adverse impacts for what another 4 weeks of social shutdown will cause. If we continue in this imbalanced and in my opinion, unreasonable approach to Covid containment we will see increased poverty, job loss, small businesses going bankrupt, depression, domestic violence, and despair. In addition, we must consider the impact this approach is having on people that need ongoing medical care for needed surgeries, treatments, diagnostics for at-risk populations that have cancer, heart issues, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. How many lives will be lost from the lockdowns compared to those saved from the disease? What will be the true cost of continuing the current devastating path we are on?
I would like to know what justification is being cited and what models are being used to support these imbalanced responses? The lockdowns were originally based on the faulty predictive models from the UK’s Imperial College originally estimated 500,000 deaths in that country. Neil Ferguson, the author of that model, has since drastically reduced that number to 20,000 then 5,700. And yet the original numbers continue to be used as justification for the current draconian measures.
The experience in Italy has shown that the deaths originally attributed to Covid were in fact false and only 12% of that number (according to Italian government health officials) were from Covid. The remaining 88% were from other underlying serious health issues with most of those deaths in the elderly (>70 years). The official death count in that country has not been adjusted in the face of these facts.
Scientists, doctors, microbiologists, pulmonologists, and other top-ranking health experts around the world have characterized the lockdowns as a grossly disproportionate response and have called for a more evidence-based approach to managing this pandemic.
A much more reasoned response would be to focus containment and effective treatment on the elderly and those with existing health issues and allow the healthy population to gain natural immunity which the evidence shows would only experience mild symptoms.
I am also outraged and perplexed why Ontario has not adopted treatment protocols that other countries have proven effective such as intravenous vitamin C, Hydroxychloroquine and zinc, oxygen therapies (hyperbaric oxygen, ozone therapy, nebulized hydrogen peroxide), and others. I am shocked to learn we are not using any of these effective treatments and in fact are using NO treatments. Ventilators do not address the viral infection itself and only facilitate breathing while allowing that patient’s immune system to hopefully overcome the illness. Even then the success rate with ventilators is alarmingly low (20%).
The idea that we must wait 12-18 months for a vaccine while there are proven effective treatments available that could save lives does not make sense. In addition, Coronavirus vaccine experts such as Peter Hotez of the Baylor College of Medicine, has expressed grave concerns of rushing the development of this type of vaccine as previous unsuccessful attempts have resulted in a high death rates in the animal trials.
I urge you as my elected representative to bring some common sense and reason to this discussion.
There is a better way to deal with this crisis than to further devastate the people of Ontario’s lives and our economy.

ATTENTION: Premier Doug Ford
I am writing to you as a very concerned citizen of Ontario. In the past few weeks we have witnessed a historic lockdown of our society.
We are told that this lockdown and the associated draconian measures to control every aspect of our lives is for our own protection. This crisis was ignited by computer models crafted by the Imperial College of London. Surely, you must be aware that the Imperial College’s Neil Ferguson downgraded his dire predictions by orders of magnitude!
An Oxford study supported this downgrade, as it appears that many people in UK have already been exposed to the virus, with mild/no symptoms. In Germany’s Gengelt it was concluded that the infection mortality rate is 0.4%. There are no mandatory lockdowns in Sweden, just common sense measures to isolate the susceptible people and quarantine the people who are actively sick.
Therefore, Mr. Ford, please explain to the people how this is justified? We are witnessing the systematic destruction of our economy causing unbearable stress on families in our province. This is not a discussion of dollars vs lives. This is an example of a cure being far worse than the disease. As you are aware, the rise in unemployment causes mortality from heart attacks and suicides to rise significantly.
Mr. Ford, what you are doing is tantamount to chopping the heads off 99% of people in Ontario to allegedly save less than 1%. This is assuming that the less than 1% who die can not be saved from reduced intubation or an increase use of therapeutics.
It is also important to note that sun exposure (Vitamin D) is critical to fortify immunity and reduce incidence of respiratory infections. Also documented in an important study, as humidity increases in the Spring and Summer the infectious rates for all viruses decline.
Many leading epidemiologists and infectious disease experts have stated that by imposing lock-downs, we are inhibiting the spread of the virus in healthy people to achieve herd immunity. Therefore, the draconian lock-downs will also prolong the outbreak. We have evolved on this planet for millions of years with viruses and bacteria alike. Natural herd immunity achieved through casual contact is how the outbreak subsides.
The damage from this draconian lockdown will surely go down in history as one of the greatest disasters in this century in Canada.
Please look beyond the globalist agenda and fight for the people of Ontario.

Dear Mr Ford
I am deeply concerned about your decision to extend lockdowns for an additional 28 days and ask you consider the alarming consequences this holds upon the social and economic stability of Ontarians.
Ontario has already taken dramatic steps towards suppressing this infection. Our acute care hospitals are managing well. Vigilance to protect those most vulnerable to Covid-19 (such as those in long term care residences, those with co-morbidities )can continue through strategies aimed at keeping these at risk citizens and their family members isolated. But to suggest we continue draconian measures that put citizens equally vulnerable to the economic and social instability caused as a result of continued lockdown measures, is unjust. If this is to continues, we risk losing swaths of our population to death by despair with longer lasting implications that will dwarf those of Covid-19.
We must have equitable health policy that meets the needs of ALL citizens of Ontario

Perhaps this has already been mentioned/ answered, but:
1) WHAT MATHEMATHICAL MODEL DOES Public Health Canada use for the expected amounts of deaths/ beds needed etc?
I cannot find it on their website, and haven’t asked it yet. Does anyone know? I am thinking of Neil Ferguson in GB who had to drastically change his estimates and has a history of overestimating – and what Del Bigtree said about the flawed mathematical models last week and the week before
2) HOW DOES CANADA DEFINE A DEATH FROM COVID? Or the provinces
Same as CDC? Does anyone have a link? Did anyone ask Canadian Health authorities?
